Project Management experience is required. Content development requires strict adherence to milestones so the main responsibility is the adherence to SoWs and contracts stipulating deadlines for developed content. Candidates must have team spirit and a proactive attitude to ensure that SMEs and contributors to content development project remain engaged and deliver according to defined milestones.

Further, the position requires the management of a lab environment used for the practical component of classes developed. This entails understanding of virtualization of servers and VMs.

Job description

We are looking for a Technical Project Managerto join our Professional Services team. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Technical Project Manager serves as the primary liaison with our client, coordinating the delivery of Professional Services projects and maximizing the value of the relationship to both parties.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of technical projects within the Professional Services team. Key responsibilities include accurately capturing requirements for new network engineering andsoftware defined network engineering projects, developing statements of work (SOW’s), planning project timeline and resource management, and ensuring timely and effective communication with all parties. This role works within a matrix organization to progress the design, development, testing and rollout of new infrastructure within our client locations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background within the professional services consultancy realm and understand deployment of large scale technical projects. Candidates should have an applied understanding of network methodologies and a passion for technology.

We are looking for candidates with the desire and personality to be one of the top consultants in the field. Our engineers are given the freedom to manage their own travel and work schedule. They manage their time productively and take full responsibility for the project deliverables.

This position is fast paced, highly technical and demands excellent communication skills. It involves 50-75% travel. Successful candidates come with a realistic view of what remote onsite consulting requires.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Estimates costs, timeframes and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed scope and constraints.
  • Creates and manages SOW’s for the Professional Services team.
  • Delivers projects within the constraints of scope, time and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization’s project management framework.

  • Provide consultation and deployment services in Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization environments for Enterprise and Service Provider environments
  • Provide expert level assessment services in multi-vendor IP Network Infrastructure settings, supplying detailed network audit and assessment services
